...Is Your Biological Father by Patent Pending

While not necessarily ska in the strictest sense, Patent Pending was at one time a ska-ish pop punk band. They formed in 2001 Mount Sinai, New York and self released a number of demos, eps and two full lengths before being signed to We Put Out Records in 2005. In 2002 the band added a sax player and wrote a handful of songs that sounded ska enough to endear them to the local ska scenes. Many of the songs on this album have appeared on previous releases as well as being re-recorded for the label debut album Save Each Other, the Whales are Doing Fine. Stand outs for me this time around are Decemberween with its beautiful lyrics about not letting the love of your life go and Cheer Up Emo Kid which is probably their most popular song and the version on this album still has the gleeful sax line that works in perfect juxtaposition to the sad tale of an emo kid.
